Destination unknown. My fiance graduated from the GSB at the University of Chicago. He is one of those MBA's now. One who hasn't quite figured out his place in corporate America. I have hope that that won't be for long, but this isn't exactly how I expected things to end up. To make life more interesting, the crazy management where we live has decided not to renew our lease, which is up on July 31,2006. There is a Plan B, but it gets a bit crazy, requiring an interim move to Los Angeles. Before Chicago, I lived in the Bay Area, and before that, Austin Texas. I have also lived in the greater-LA/Orange County area, and was born on the east coast.
UPDATE: We are moving to the bay area (at least until September). From there it is anyone's guess. Watch as it plays out. THIS JUST IN: We are back in L.A. Plan B has become Plan D. Final destination is still in the air. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: A year later and still no permanent address. Seriously. Our mail gets delivered to a PO Box and forwarded.
UPDATE: B has been working full time, but as a contractor for a company headquartered in Germany. They even have an office now (in LA). We remain in LA County as we wait and see what happens next.
p.s. i almost always add people to my neighborhood as friends. just fyi.
